The National Hurricane Center said Florence had re-strengthened into a Category 1 hurricane Sunday as it was located about 710 miles (1,142 kilometers) southeast of Bermuda. Forecasters say it's too soon to tell where the storm will go because there's still a lot of uncertainty in its long-term track. Currently, there are no coastal warnings or watches for the storm. CDT (2100 GMT) was about 45 miles (75 km) northwest of Jackson with maximum sustained winds of 30 miles per hour (45 km per hour), the Weather Prediction Center said . A Tropical Storm Gordon Twitter account even cropped up on Monday, personifying the terror so many people felt. A Hurricane Center forecast map showed the storm making landfall on Tuesday evening near the Alabama-Mississippi border. Tropical Storm Warnings are now in effect for coastal communities in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama. The storm could come ashore in southeastern Louisiana late Tuesday or early Wednesday. Tropical Storm Chris continues to spin just off the North Carolina coast and is now centered roughly 150 miles to the south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. Satellite data helped convince forecasters that the storm had met tropical cyclone criteria.
