Governor Doug Ducey declared a State of Emergency in response to the Tinder Fire in Coconino County . The fire was believed to be human-caused and was under investigation. More than 500 firefighters were working with other emergency personnel and five helicopters to contain the fire. Koxa, 38, had to overcome a significant psychological hurdle to achieve the record after the same wave nearly killed him in 2014.
