Facebook has a new logo

Facebook's new wordmark can change colors to reflect the product it is associated with.

The new company logo will further distinguish the company from the main social media Facebook app, which will keep its own branding.

The brand new branding, mainly the corporate title in crisp lettering, might be stamped on its "family" of choices together with WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, Oculus, Office, Portal and Calibra, in keeping with chief advertising and marketing officer Antonio Lucio. Instead, it's about trying to reclaim any remaining goodwill users have towards Facebook's subsidiaries.

"People should know which companies make the products they use", Lucio wrote in a blog post. The company today revealed a new logo with simple bold, capitalized text that will be used across its portfolio of apps. This summer, the company furthered this assimilation by adding the Facebook name to more of the products it owns.

San Francisco: Fb has unveiled a brand new brand that may differentiate it as a mother or father firm from major apps like Fb, Instagram, WhatsApp, and extra.

In just the past week, Facebook has faced more criticism on its policy for political advertising, answered to questions about its decision to include right-wing news outlet Breitbart on its Facebook News platform, and announced an, already highly criticised, entrance into healthcare. In other words, you'll be able to message a WhatsApp friend through Instagram even if you are not following each other on that platform.

"There is a little, let's call it brand tax, on the messaging apps like WhatsApp", Lucio said.

Finally, there is the new color-changing aspect of the logo that Facebook says represents the company's empathy - being thoughtful to the world and the people in it and creating a relationship between Facebook the company and the products it builds. "Stories are a great example and we're continuing to see fast adoption across Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp".

US Senator Elizabeth Warren once said that she hopes to spin off large technology companies such as Facebook, Amazon and Google and put it under stricter regulations. The departures were reportedly due to Facebook taking a stronger role in the app's operations.

The social media users received FACEBOOK with mixed reactions; some are amusing, and some are serious with sharp criticism.

The move highlights its effort to be more clear with consumers about the apps it owns. According to him, when the users know about the company, it improves the image of the company. "This is the next step in our effort to be clearer about the products and services from Facebook".
