All voices in Jammu & Kashmir arrested Indian novelist

Now, Rajinikanth's manager, Riaz Ahmed, has given a clarification on the issue.

The Chinese President is arriving in India for his second informal summit with Prime Minister Modi.

While no formal announcement, agreement, or joint statement will be issued after the summit to keep its informality, both leaders will discuss all issues that impact the bilateral ties in a changing geopolitical environment.

A day forward of Xi Jinping's go to to India, a faculty in Chennai organised a particular welcome for the Chinese language President. Two leaders of the student association were among those detained on Sunday.

Imran Khan underscored that India's illegal actions of August 5 had created a dire humanitarian situation in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IOJ&K) and urged that the curfew imposed for over two months in the IOJ&K needed to be lifted immediately enabling people to have access to basic human needs.

Another lawmaker Subhas Chandra Nembang, who is also a former speaker of Nepal's parliament, said Nepal should take the opportunity of Xi's visit to enhance connectivity between the two countries, which could bring huge benefit to Nepal as well as China and India.

No Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs), agreements would be signed or joint communique issued.

While Imran Khan and his delegates met businessmen and Chinese officials, General Bajwa met the top military officials in China to discuss the security situation in the region and the Kashmir issue.

The summit may sidestep ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan over Jammu and Kashmir.

The first informal meet between the two leaders was held in 2018 in Wuhan, which normalised the trough relations between the two countries after the 73-day standoff between the two militaries at Doklam in 2017.

He said China will provide further support in the post-quake reconstruction, promoting "Visit Nepal Year 2020", support education sector and urban development in the country.

Shortly before Xi's departure for Nepal, Modi will host lunch in honour of the Chinese President on Saturday afternoon.

The Indian government is reported to have clarified that the ongoing exercise is part of the routine familiarization and orientation exercises and has nothing to with Xi's visit to India.

"It is important that we adopt a strategic and long-term perspective and draw up a blueprint for our bilateral relationship to take it to a new height in this new era", Xi added.

They also undertook to carry out another feasibility study to construct a tunnel from China's Kerung to Kathmandu and to fix existing highways, as well as to strengthen hydropower, security, trade and education links.

Beijing has helped build or upgrade highways, airports and power plants in Nepal under the Belt and Road infrastructure drive - a string of ports, railways, roads, bridges and other investments tying China to Europe via central and southern Asia. Around 19 government-owned alcohol shops are expected to remain closed to avoid any disturbance during the Chinese president's visit.
