Garrison's character is known for his "Karate Kid" line, "Get him a body bag!"

Robert Garrison, who played Tommy in the Karate Kid films, died Friday at age 59, according to TMZ. The Cobra Kai fighter was one of main bully Johnny's (William Zabka) closest allies, and one of Daniel's (Ralph Macchio) biggest tormentors.

"Rob was a great person and ambassador to The Karate Kid legacy", said his rep Rick Henriques in a statement provided to Deadline".

Robert began his career with a string of roles in small films and TV shows, though he didn't break out until the success of The Karate Kid. His last credit was this year, when he once again portrayed Tommy in the Cobra Kai series. In the memorable episode, Johnny reunites with his old Cobra Kai buddies (Ron Thomas and Tony O'Dell) and they show up at a hospital where Tommy is receiving cancer treatment.

Garrison passes away after being in the hospital for the last month.

Garrison tweeted a message of thanks to his fans after his appearance.

He continued making onscreen appearances in "Coach", "The Iron Eagle", "Columbo" and "MacGyver" before joining the cast of YouTube's "Cobra Kai". Had a wonderful time doing it, ' Robert tweeted after his second season episode aired. He wrote that the wonderful comments made him feel great, and he had a wonderful time returning to the role and appearing on the YouTube series. His death was a result of his organs shutting down, Garrison's sister-in-law Linda told TMZ.

The actor's family are reportedly in the process of planning funeral arrangements.
