Kevin Hart Suffers ‘Major’ Injuries In L.A. Car Crash

Comedian Kevin Hart reportedly was hurt in a car crash in the Malibu Hills area of California early Sunday

The driver also reportedly suffer back injuries and the third occupant, a woman, had minor injuries.

Police sources told TMZ a Plymouth Barracuda belonging to Hart, 40, veered off the road on the Mulholland Highway.

Although the auto is owned by Hart, he was not driving when the accident occurred nor was the driver under the influence, police told TMZ.

He and his driver reportedly suffered "major back injuries", but a woman in the vehicle was not seriously hurt. Hart was one of two passengers in the auto when the driver lost control. The roof of the auto in the photo was crushed.

Another passenger, 31-year-old Rebecca Broxterman, only complained of pain. Kevin resides near the accident and police say he went home "to get medical attention". The other passenger did not need medical treatment.

Hart filmed video of himself peeling out near his home on Saturday afternoon, which would have been hours before the single vehicle wreck.

Tens of thousands of people are killed and millions injured each year from motor vehicle crashes, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
