The star-studded VMAs additionally noticed performances from the likes of Miley Cyrus, Lizzo and Missy Elliott, who was honoured with the Vanguard Award. Miley Cyrus crooned her new single, "SlideAway", which was backed by a string section.

Shortly after the show ended, Joe Jonas took to Instagram to share his family's hilarious reaction to the moment from their seats in the audience.

And just last week, video surfaced of Priyanka's mom dancing with Sophie at a separate tour stop.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Nick Jonas got married in Jodhpur in December, 2018. Before that, it was Joe's birthday, which was a total bash.
