OnePlus is building hype for its upcoming product, OnePlus TV, in the best possible way by offering a sneak peek into what's coming. The smart TV is due out sometime in September next month and will be unveiled exclusively in India, before it makes its way to other markets. This is more than just a sneak peek and a crucial detail about the TV itself.
Moving forward, Lau noted one of OnePlus' goals with its TV is to evolve into a smart display platform. According to previous reports, the company is working on different variants of OnePlus TV for different markets. There's no way of knowing if this particular rumour is accurate as OnePlus did not give any hints in its brief Twitter post on Thursday. OnePlus has also activated a "Notify Me" page on Amazon. Ahead of the official launch, OnePlus has begun revealing some key features of its OnePlus TV.
OnePlus earlier this month confirmed OnePlus TV will deliver quality image and sound experience along with "remarkable design" and "smart inter-connectivity".
More features are being developed for OnePlus smartphone users for a seamless viewing experience and we should have more information about the TV as we near the launch date.
Now that we know the size of the TV, this should help those who are considering purchasing the TV when it launches further cement their decision or change their minds. "Because of our great partnership with Google, not only do we use their Android TV system but we also optimise it very deeply", Lau was quoted as saying.
Details are still scarce about the OnePlus TV, but it's expected to come with an HDR panel, Bluetooth remote, and AI assistant.
