The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray price tag revealed

2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

One of the few remaining mysteries about the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette was the model's top speed, but the Bowtie has finally answered that question.

Prices in the United States start from $60,000, which represents a meager $3,000 premium over the previous-gen Corvette. 8 way power seats, dual zone climate control, keyless entry and ignition, and a 10 speaker audio system by Bose, will be standard equipment for the 1LT base model.

The options are abundant and may actually ramp the total up pretty quickly. The Z51 package's cost comes in at $5,000 and is available across all three trims.

Chevrolet on Thursday announced pricing for the 2020 Corvette. To that, buyers can also drop $1,195 on a performance exhaust system that raises the output of the 6.2-liter V8 engine from 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque to 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of twist. That's just $3,000 more than the outgoing front-engine auto.

Highlights of the 2LT (priced from $67,295) include wireless device charging, heated and ventilated seats and steering wheel, navigation, Chevy's Performance Data Recorder, and a full-color head up display.

The front gets a spoiler lip camera, to help you avoid curbing the front of the auto, and there are power folding mirrors, blind-spot warnings, and rear cross traffic alerts. That starts at $71,949 including destination, and adds Chevrolet's GT2 seats with Napa and Mulan leather along with carbon fiber trim. It comes with the performance exhaust, more aggressive suspension setup, electronic limited-slip rear differential, improved powertrain cooling, and bigger brakes.

"Most people thought when we moved the Corvette to mid-engine it would no longer be attainable, but we knew we couldn't mess with a winning formula and the 2020 Stingray proves it", said Brian Sweeney, Chevrolet U.S. vice president, in the company's announcement. This system adds to the 2LT and 3LT models at $1,495. Getting your hands on a real L-88 will take deep pockets and probably some good connections on top of that, but this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette L-88 Tribute will give you all of the show and go of a true L-88 without the seven-figure price tag. It includes a front splitter and rear spoiler, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, enhanced cooling, front brake cooling inlets, and larger brake discs.
