Apple TV releases teaser trailer for ‘The Morning Show’

Steve Carell Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston speak during an event launching Apple tv+ at Apple headquarters

Apple has released a first look at its upcoming drama, "The Morning Show", starring Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon.

The Morning Show will debut exclusively on Apple TV+ this fall.

The first teaser for the new Apple TV+ series was released on August 12. "Guess what?" says Aniston. I can feel when the world needs me. "I'm bringing you some sad and upsetting news". "That's all I ever wanted to do", while Aniston's character declares "America loves me!" The series will also tackle the age old question about what viewers want to know and they should know. "They want to trust that the person who is telling them the truth about the world is an honest person". But this marks Aniston's big return to television, coming in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of Friends.

It's Carell's first foray back into the small screen after seven seasons on The Office.

"[I am] so excited", Witherspoon said in 2017 about developing the show with Aniston.

Witherspoon stars as Bradley Jackson, one of Kessler's most notable rivals in the station - and the reason for most of her strife.

"Through the prism of those under-slept, over-adrenalized people in front of and behind the camera, we take an honest look at the complex relationships between women and men in the workplace, and we engage in the conversation people are a little too afraid to have unless they're behind closed doors", Aniston said.

The cast also includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Billy Crudup and Néstor Carbonell.

The Morning Show is one of the many high-profile original TV series in Apple TV+'s roster as the tech company makes its bid to enter the competitive streaming field.
