LeBron, seemingly, on scathing David Griffin article: 'Ether coming soon'

David Griffin Running the Cleveland Cavaliers Wasn't Fun Made Me Miserable

Griffin stated in the interview, "Everything we did was so inorganic and unsustainable and, frankly, not fun".

"Alright alright. Enough is enough".

Griffin said Friday that the SI story was supposed to be about the Pelicans and the lessons he learned while being in charge of the Cavaliers, saying his quotes about his experience with James in Cleveland in the story were "sensationalized" and "taken out of context".

On Thursday, James posted a tweet that may have indirectly referred to that comment from Griffin.

David Griffin understands the double-edged sword of working with James far better than most.

James' camp encouraged Griffin to clear up his stance on the record, sources said. "I was miserable", Griffin told Sports Illustrated. I was miserable. Literally the moment we won the championship I knew I was gonna leave.

"There wasn't a lot else for him", Griffin said.

David Griffin has come under fire for his recent comments on LeBron James, resulting in one former Cleveland Cavaliers player taking a shot at him and Cavs majority owner Dan Gilbert. "There was no way I was going to stay for any amount of money".

Griffin went on to comment on James' motivations, speculating that his drive isn't the same as it was before winning a title in Cleveland, his home state. He parted ways with the team in June 2017, with his contract set to expire at the end of the month.

"LeBron is getting all the credit and none of the blame".

During an appearance on "The Jump", McMenamin reported Griffin reached out to James' people to let them know there was some context missing from the story. "They don't like being part of that world", Griffin told SI. Building a competitive roster around James, one of (if not the) greatest player in National Basketball Association history, is only hard if the owner isn't making the resources available.

James and Griffin have maintained a positive relationship since their time together in Cleveland.
