Pakistan medium pacer Hasan Ali took to Twitter on Tuesday to issue a clarification after media reports surfaced about him getting married to an Indian girl from Haryana in August. Senior cricketer Shoaib Malik is married to Indian tennis star Sania Mirza while former Pakistan cricketers Zaheer Abbas and Mohsin Hasan Khan's wives are also from India.
Hasan Ali is set to tie the knot with an Indian bride according to unconfirmed reports. The wedding is set to take place in Dubai later this year. 10 of their family members will be leaving for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Saturday, August 17. She has a B. Tech (Aeronautical) degree from Manav Rachna University. The report further states that Shamia's family hails from Haryana although she has done her engineering from England and now stays with her parets in Dubai.
Hasan Ali is a modern-day fast bowler hailing from Punjab, who relies on variations rather than on raw pace, a breed rarely seen from Pakistan. Ali will become the fourth high-profile Pakistani cricketer to marry an Indian girl when he ties the knot with Arzoo next month in Dubai.
However, Hasan Ali's performance in the recently concluded World Cup was not up to the mark.
Consequently, Pakistan had failed to make it the semifinal stages as they had finished at the fifth place in the points table.
