A 22-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder in the death of a University of MS student whose body was found over the weekend. The Lafayette County Sheriff's Department told FOX13 that "foul play" was apparent and her body was discovered by an officer on patrol.
Lawyer Swayze Alford, who represented Theesfeld in a Tuesday morning appearance before Lafayette County Circuit Judge Andrew Howorth, didn't return a phone call or email seeking comment.
The 21-year-old was last seen stopping at the door of a bar in Oxford, but apparently not going in.
Brandon Theesfeld, 22, (left) is a fellow student of Ally Kostial's.
Not clear was whether Ally was killed at the lake or if her body was brought there after she was already dead. Her body had found in the vicinity of Lake Sardis.
A man has been arrested over the shooting death of a university student in the US.
Keith Kostial, Alexandria's father, said in a Facebook post that his daughter was taking summer classes and teaching fitness classes at the university.
The University of Mississippi Interim Chancellor Larry Sparks said in a statement that the university was saddened by the death.
The killing has drawn the response of multiple agencies. The division of the Sheriff has introduced that they're at the moment not releasing additional data of the case as a result of the inquiry remains to be in progress.
The sheriff's department hasn't released any details about the investigation.
'She was a 2016 Lindbergh High School graduate.
Kostial was from St. Louis, Missouri, and was studying marketing at the University of Mississippi's School of Business Administration, according to the sheriff's office and the university.
