Mahershala Ali Starring in 'Blade' Reboot for Marvel

Marvel Studios Blade

For more on Marvel's plans, check out the other stories from the big Comic-Con panel on our front page.

Before the panel even started, Marvel Studios' Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo arrived in the hall to take their seats as spectators-and they did not go unnoticed by adoring fans, as the crowd chanted the names of the visionary creators as they sat down!

It's unclear whether it will be a part of Phase 5, or something else entirely, but we won't know for sure until 2022 at the earliest. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige introduced all the main cast members at the annual convention.

As you can see, the tweet speaks about the "A-Day" demo.

After the announcement, Feige told US website Rotten Tomatoes that Blade is a key part of Marvel's plans for their cinematic universe after Avengers: Endgame. It looks like the next era will last two years and consist of ten movies and shows on Disney+.

It's set for release on November 6, 2020, after Black Widow kicks things off on May 1 with Scarlett Johansson, as well as Stranger Things breakout David Harbour, Rachel Weisz and Florence Pugh.

Later next year, Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek, Brian Tyree Henry and Richard Madden will star in The Eternals, which centres on a group of near-immortal cosmic beings.

Falcon and The Winter Soldier - Late 2020 Disney+.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will both reprise their roles as Scarlet Witch and Vision for what sounds like a seriously trippy series.

The next, the previously mentioned WandaVision, isn't due until spring 2021 but could easily become a cornerstone of the MCU.

"Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" hits theaters on May 7, 2021. And Hawkeye will follow that summer and fall respectively.

Next up, a fourth Thor film, titled Thor: Love and Thunder, was unveiled by Portman, who played Chris Hemsworth's love interest, astrophysicist Jane Foster, in the first two movies.

In fact, exclusively the Black Widow movie presently doesn't present lots of footage. The film, directed by Cate Shortland, will be released in May.

According to those who saw the leaked footage, the villain in the film will be Taskmaster. Interestingly, Harbour's character in Stranger Things 3 butted heads quite a bit with an ill-fated character named Alexei. Imagine a hair metal comic cover come to life, or the kind of badass that a teenager gorging on horror movies and Conan comics would dream up, and you have Blade.
