‘You can’t leave fast enough,’ Trump says to Progressive Democrats

Donald Trump And Close Friend Sean Hannity Pick Different Sides In The Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez–Nan...

Donald Trump told a group of Democrat congresswomen to "go back" to the places they came from as his administration launched a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration.

Rep. Justin Amash, I-Mich., who left the Republican Party in opposition to the president, continued his campaign against President Trump, rebuking the remarks as "racist and disgusting".

"These places need your help badly, you can't leave fast enough", said Trump.

Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib and Pressley are natural-born United States citizens, while Omar was born in Somalia and immigrated to the U.S. when she was young.

He clearly taking aim at Ocasio-Cortez and three other Democratic House members who took office this year ― Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Ayanna Pressley of MA and Rashida Tlaib of MI, all of whom are women of color.

New Mexico Rep. Ben Ray Luján, the assistant speaker of the House, echoed Pelosi's sentiments on Twitter Sunday: "A racist tweet from a racist president".

Pressley called Trump's message "what racism looks like", telling the president the only place she and her colleagues would be going "back to" is Washington.

The 45th president went on a Twitter rant wherein he complained about Democrat Congresswomen shortly after they delivered a moving testimony before the House Oversight Committee.

Tlaib was born in Detroit.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has already made her remarks defending the four - Reps.

Chakrabarti, who co-founded the liberal Justice Democrats and Brand New Congress groups before joining Ocasio-Cortez's office, sparked backlash a couple weeks ago when he compared moderate and Blue Dog Democrats, some of which are African American, to Southern segregationists in the 1940s.

On "Fox News Sunday", Luján told Chris Wallace, "That's a racist tweet. You rely on a frightened America for your plunder", she said.

It is the latest controversial comment by Trump, who previous year reportedly referred to countries in Africa as "s******e" nations, and who has spoken of "an invasion" of undocumented migrants.

Earlier in the week, Pelosi scolded her members, telling them not to tweet their grievances and instead to come to her if they have a problem. All of the congresswomen were born in the U.S.as American citizens, with the exception of Omar, who became a naturalized citizen almost two decades ago in 2000. "We've got to heal the pain of the working class of this country, ' and that is causing some political disruption within the leadership of the Democratic Party", Mr. Sanders said.

"What votes did you get?"

Ms Pressley, the first black woman elected to the House from MA, was born in Cincinnati.

The feud started last month, when the three freshmen women of color, along with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.), criticized the Democrats who supported a border security funding bill.
