U.S. women's predicts Novak Djokovic Wimbledon victory

Federer excited for 'brutal&apos Djokovic final

As the clock ticked past the previous longest final of 4 hours and 48 minutes it took Nadal to beat Federer in the 2008 final, the match was decided by the first 12-12 tiebreak in a singles match at the tournament.

Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic produced another epic showdown at Wimbledon, with the latter emerging victorious in five sets, 7-6, 1-6, 7-6, 4-6, 13-12.

Where and when is Novak Djokovic vs Roger Federer Wimbledon 2019 Final being played?

To get to the final, the Serbian overcame Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets, whilst Federer defeated long-time rival Rafael Nadal in four sets as well.

That nerve carried him to a 16th Grand Slam title and the way he is playing and with the lack of authentic new challengers he may well go on to eclipse Federer's record of 20 majors.

Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios has not so subtly thrown his support behind Roger Federer ahead of the highly anticipated men's Wimbledon final and in doing so spectacularly spurned his opponent Novak Djokovic in trademark fashion.

"Roger is one of the greatest players of all time, who I respect a lot", Djokovic, who has now beaten Federer in three of the last six Wimbledon finals, said on court. "It is quite unreal to be two match points down to come back and unusual to play a tie-break at 12-12". Had Federer won, he would have been the oldest man to win a Grand Slam title in the professional era.

Federer broke Djokovic twice in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead, but was broken for the first time in the match when serving for the set. "Novak, congratulations, man, that was insane", Federer said.

And the 32-year-old admits he is "looking to make history".

An emotional Federer looked over towards his wife and children in his box during the trophy presentation, perhaps an acknowledgement that less than four weeks from his 38th birthday his opportunities for more Grand Slams may be limited.

Djokovic has won their past five meetings and holds a 26-22 advantage overall head-to-head, including 10-6 at Grand Slam tournaments and 3-1 at Wimbledon.

Federer eventually won the set to force a fifth and deciding set.

Federer also won more points and more games, conjured more break points and delivered nearly three times as many aces as the Serb.

It'll either be Wimbledon championship No. 9 for Roger Federer or No. 5 for Novak Djokovic when they meet in the final.

The over under is set at 41.5 games, which would average out to four sets of 6-4 tennis.

It wasn't too long back that we saw her double up with Federer for a charity match in Mumbai city.
