The two-time NBA champion suffered an Achilles injury during Game 5 of the NBA Finals that will likely sideline him for the entirety of the upcoming season.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Durant has opted out of his 2019-20 deal with the Golden State Warriors to become a free agent. Durant and his business manager, Rich Kleiman, are in NY and are evaluating Durant's free agency options, Wojnarowski reports, and the process has remained private.

The NBA Free Agency period begins on June 30. Their hopes once seemed greater, until the end of the regular season arrived, and the team finished 17-65 and did not win the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

"One of the things that is being discussed right now is that the Golden State Warriors would offer Kevin Durant a five-year contract, $57 million extra than he could get signing elsewhere, let him rehab and then work with him to be traded", Windhorst said on an appearance of Get Up.

At present, the top teams on Durant's wish list are unclear.
