Manchester United turn attentions to Elseid Hysaj after Aaron Wan-Bissaka rejection

Man Utd target Aaron Wan-BIssaka

The Red Devils have been frustrated in their negotiations with fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace over the potential transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Wan-Bissaka, who is now on global duty with England's Young Lions at the U21 European Championships, has had an outstanding breakthrough season in south London, picking up four assists in 39 appearances for Palace across all competitions.

Other right-back targets include Max Aarons of Norwich City FC, Thomas Meunier of French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.

Sky Sports News go on to add that the England Under-21 global is eager to secure a move to Manchester United.

With Matteo Darmian also reported to be headed for an exit from Old Trafford, Manchester United would have been left with just Diogo Dalot as the only recognized right-sided full-back. According to reliable reports, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is set to sign for Manchester United in a massive £55 million deal.

According to the same story, Crystal Palace were unhappy with the structure of the deal and the London side want between £45m and £50m up front.

To that end, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were reported to have made an offer of £35 million plus £15 million in performance-related bonuses for the 21-year-old, which Crystal Palace had knocked back.

If true, this will be a world record fee for a specialist full-back, making the 22-year-old the most expensive wide defender in the history of the game.
