Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday told a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit that Pakistan is an attractive investment destination and a large market endowed with a rich array of resources.
With all three nations being the members of SCO, the ongoing trade war between the USA and China, as well as American sanctions against Iran, could also be discussed.
India had already clarified that there would be no bilateral meeting between Khan and Modi during the summit. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan after holding consultation with all the stakeholders directed to open the airspace.
They said that the Indian officials in Pakistan were constantly in contact with PM Khan since taking office, adding that Khan had said in April that Modi's win at the polls could help settle the Kashmir showdown.
"I hope we'll soon get together in Japan". This is Mr Modi's first multi-lateral summit after his re-election as the Prime Minister.
"At the moment, our bilateral relationship with India is, probably, at its lowest point", he said.
"A decision has now been taken that the VVIP aircraft will fly via Oman, Iran and Central Asian countries on the way to Bishkek", MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.
Modi said that "at a time when the world economy is rapidly changing, we need to look at the opportunities of the economic partnership between the two countries".
PM Imran extended an invitation to the Kyrgyz President to visit Pakistan.
A special vegetarian meal was prepared for Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister will address the plenary session of the SCO Summit tomorrow, where he will present his vision for the regional cooperation and development through the SCO forum.
Presidents and Prime Ministers of 8 member countries will participate in this multilateral worldwide forum which will also be attended by 4 head of states as observers.
Since becoming an SCO member in 2017, Pakistan has been actively participating in various SCO events, including ones involving foreign affairs, defence, national security, economy and trade, science and innovation, youth and women empowerment, tourism and media.
