Mauricio Pochettino keen to stay at Tottenham

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is in contention to feature in the Champions League final against Liverpool in Madrid on June 1. Pochettino replied: "No we will stay in an hotel near there".

"There's still a lot of work to do, but of course I am so motivated to stay. and provide Tottenham with what they deserve", Pochettino told talkSPORT.

Speaking to Spanish radio sports podcast El Partidazo de Cope, Pochettino had said Real Madrid president Florentino Perez turned down a request to let the squad stay at Real Madrid's sports centre.

The report also claims the 33-year-old is not happy with club talk from within the club, which insinuate that he took too long to recover from a calf injury which he picked up in the beginning of April.

It's claimed that at the meeting, Ramos made clear he has doubts about continuing at Real Madrid beyond the summer.

"All requests submitted to Real Madrid have referred only and exclusively to the use of the training camps of the Ciudad Real Madrid and its changing rooms".

Asensio's agent, Horacio Gaggioli, insists his client is happy at the club and says Madrid have refused offers as high as €180m as they bid to keep the former Mallorca star at the club.

Their opponents Liverpool, who are now training in Marbella, are set to train in Madrid on Saturday morning, 1st June. Tottenham will do so on Thursday May 30 and Friday May 31.

Real Madrid reiterated that "at no time was the club asked" whether those teams could reside at the club's training facilities in the lead up to the final.

The report also claims that Florentino Perez's approach of not chasing dream Galactico signings such as Neymar or Kylian Mbappe and instead spreading the funds out to strengthen a number of positions has Barcelona anxious that Real Madrid would be a stronger overall outfit next season, than they were when Cristiano Ronaldo ran the show.

Pochettino was named as one of the frontrunners to succeed Santiago Solari at the Bernabeu when he was sacked in March.

Zinedine Zidane's men finished third on the Spanish League table with 68 points which 19 points behind champions Barcelona and failed to win silverware at the end of the season.
