Amidst growing tensions for China and its major telecommunication companies, President of the U.S. Donald Trump' government will now be capable of blocking foreign tech companies from conducting business in the United States of America, effectively banning the Chinese telecom giant Huawei. Shortly after the Android bombshell we learned that hardware makers such as Intel, Qualcomm, Xilinx and Broadcom had been given notice to not work with Huawei either. Google has been the biggest company to pull out of dealings with Huawei but now carriers are also following suit.

The Trump administration banned Huawei networking equipment in United States networks in February 2018, which is why AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon are all using Ericsson and Nokia equipment to build out their 5G networks.
Washington did end up going back on the decision by some degree, having issued a temporary license to Huawei that allowed it to resume the majority of its operations but the situation is still looking grim for the Shenzen-based firm in the long term.
Huawei smartphones had a 14% share of the Singapore market previous year, according to research firm Canalys. The company grew from 1.5 percent in 2010 to 13 percent in 2018, and is now the second-largest smartphone producer globally behind Samsung.
