'Hey China' Clinton Mocks Mueller Report Results on TV

See Kamala Harris stump William Barr during hearing

I got you the traditional gift: "a bucket of lies", Stephen Colbert said at the beginning of his show, after Barr faced questions from the Senate Judiciary Committee about the report's findings.

"Biggest hearing you might have in your entire chairmanship, you can't bother, you're too lazy to learn the portfolio well enough to ask your own questions?" He replaced an attorney general, Jeff Sessions, who was ridiculed by the president and ultimately pushed out, and an acting one, Matt Whitaker, who was dismissed by Democrats as unqualified and a Trump loyalist.

She said the Democrats "crashed and burned" on Kavanaugh after he refused to withdraw from the process and now they are calling on Barr to resign.

Mueller had complained to Barr in a private letter on March 27 that the attorney general's summary letter failed to "fully capture the context, nature and substance" of the investigation and added to "public confusion about critical aspects of the results".

Even before Mueller's probe ended, federal prosecutors in NY had implicated President Trump in ordering his lawyer, Michael Cohen, to violate federal campaign finance laws.

Last week, Trump and his business sued Democratic House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings to block a subpoena seeking information from an accounting firm about Trump's finances.

Graham today sent Mueller a letter on this issue, noting Barr's testimony and what he said the special counsel's concerns were about.

"The Mueller report strongly stated that there was No Collusion with Russian Federation", he tweeted. Trump also said, "the American people see through it so easily, it's so easy to see through".

When Barr was asked weeks later at an unrelated congressional hearing about reports of discontent within the special counsel's team, he said he didn't know what those reports referred to. He said Mueller "was very clear with me that he was not suggesting that we had misrepresented his report".

"The Committee is willing to prioritize a specific, defined set of underlying investigative and evidentiary materials for immediate production", the chairman wrote. "It is something else entirely to allow his advisers to appear before Congress", the letter said.

The "Fox News Sunday" host also touched on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accusing the AG of lying to Congress during a House Appropriations Committee hearing in April, asking "what is she going to do about it?"

Flood says Mueller's comments that the president could not be exonerated on obstruction of justice "do not belong in our criminal justice vocabulary", and says Mueller and his staff "failed in their duty to act as prosecutors and only as prosecutors". Barr and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein subsequently concluded that Trump did not break the law.
