Sophie Turner reacts to episode two sex scene

Game of Thrones actress Maisie Williams

The second episode in the final season of the insanely popular TV show, Game of Thrones, packed a bunch of surprises for fans.

Why did Maisie Williams think Arya Stark's sex scene was a prank?

Maisie Williams has revealed that she originally thought her sex scene was a joke, because in previous seasons some cast members had received fake storylines from the creators. Williams is now 22 years old, so there's a level of us still seeing Arya as the young child we met in season one.

Even her best friend and co-star Sophie Turner, who plays Arya's sister Sansa, shared a reaction video- which saw her sipping some wine as she reviewed the raunchy scene. "I need to go to the gym.' A whole list of things", Williams told Entertainment Weekly.

Given the fact that the 22-year-old actress has grown up on screen, Joe Dempsie (Gendry) said that he also found the sex scene a odd one to film, especially since he has known Williams for quite some time. No one wants to make you feel uncomfortable which kind of makes you feel more uncomfortable, because no one wants to look at anything that they shouldn't look at, which in turn makes you feel like you look very bad because everyone is kind of like.

"In honor of Easter, I guess Game of Thrones wanted the storyline to have a little Easter bunny hop, hop, hoppin' into that pussayy!" To put it bluntly: Was Arya going to be naked on camera? And one of the most common ways that standard is enforced is treating an "innocent" girl's maturation into an adult woman as a tragedy, as if merely growing into sexual maturity degrades her personhood.

If you're still in shock, maybe you should remember that when Danaerys and Khal Drogo got together in season one, the character was 16 years old, actually three years older than in the book. Another chimed in: 'Still think Arya's a lesbian'. After seasons and seasons of her becoming increasingly feral, this experience with the character Gendry is one that helped bring her back to her more human side. "This beat isn't really about that".

Arya Stark is possibly our favourite character on Thrones. And everybody else has already done it on the show.

"Then [the scene] was rushed".

This feminism is why I'm not particularly anxious that this scene might read as permission to the men in the audience who want to leer at teen girls like creeps, which is always a concern. It was just a fun and flirty "hey, let's have sex before everyone we know and love gets murdered by a zombie army led by a snow devil on a ghost horse". Show creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss are notorious for pulling fast ones, too, so we can understand her disbelief. "This is something she's stayed away from, an emotion we've never really seen her engage with".
