Phelps recounts viral Masters moment watching Tiger

Tiger Woods and Justin Timberlake

Tiger Woods' latest Masters victory had a big impact on a couple of soon-to-be parents in Dallas.

When Tiger was embraced by his children and his mom after the last hole, we recalled a similar moment when he won his first Masters 22 years ago, with his late dad being present, when Tiger was a 21 year-old kid who destroyed the field by 12 strokes, still the record for margin of victory at the Masters.

The 39-year-old told Golf Digest that the 14-1 bet was his first sports wager. "To me, it was the greatest comeback I've ever seen". He's won the Masters.

"I m pretty sure he questioned himself, whether he could get it back, and he had to put a lot of work in".

Surely just about everyone heard of the fall from grace he endured with all of the scandals and things we don't need to get into.

Tiger did send a message that said, 'We did it, appreciate you hanging in there with me, I love you like a brother.'And I sent one back very similar to that.

As mentioned, I don't normally find the golf channel on the internet, so it did take a little bit to find a good stream but once I was there I wasn't budging.

Overnight leader, Francesco Molinari, who was playing alongside Woods on Sunday, tailed away on the back nine, eventually finishing in a tie for fifth on 11 under.

Jordan recognized the achievement and said that Woods' comeback eclipsed his own return to the National Basketball Association after he swapped sports to play baseball back in 1995.

Back in Tiger's dominant era, talk around the proverbial water cooler seemingly had sports fans in two camps - those that liked Tiger and thought he was great for golf and those that didn't like the fact Tiger was seemingly winning all the time and that was bad for golf.

"They got problems", Jordan said of Woods' rivals on the PGA Tour.

"I think he's gotten over the hump".

Williams was dumped by Woods in June 2011 - ending a 13-year relationship in which he won 72 times worldwide and claimed 13 majors.
