Google teases big announcement in May

With Google's Pixel line focusing on Camera quality as one of it's cornerstone features could the Pixel 3a and 3a XL be the first affordable phones with top tier cameras? Carriers are still the place that most people go to buy their next phone, so having the Pixel, Pixel 2, and Pixel 3 only available from Verizon had to frustrate consumers. But Google has to show us something now, and a glorified advert for Avengers: Endgame is one way to do it. It could still be something related to Avengers because of the "Help is on the way" tagline. This alludes to the partnership with Marvel Studios for the Avengers: Endgame.

There's no way to be sure any of this is true, however, and we'll just have to wait until 7th May to find out what Google has in store for us.

After months of speculation, reports are now circulating that Google may reveal the rumoured midrange Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL on May 7, the day of the company's I/O developer conference keynote. Now, Google's online shop seems to be teasing their arrival. Essentially, the Pixel 3a could start at $500, while the bigger version will start at $600, which is not so affordable.

With Google's ARCore at the helm of affairs, Pixel 3 users will be able to manifest five new Playmoji character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe which includes Black Widow, Captain Marvel, Thor, Rocket and War Machine.

Anyway, we know that the Pixel 3a and 3a XL are coming this Spring.

The new feature, part of the newest update to the Google Camera app, is part of the Pixel 3's Photobooth mode. The new phones are already expected to be a game-changer for Google, which hasn't been quite as popular as rivals like Samsung, Apple and Huawei in terms of sales. AR stickers are, of course, the complete opposite of "big".
