Sony will no longer stock digital codes for retail outlets

PS Plus April 2019 Update Sony reveals new Play Station Plus deal ahead of free games drop

The news - which takes accounts of global sales up to and including March 3rd, 2019 - was accompanied by confirmation of a raft of new VR titles for Sony's system, including VR games set in the No Man's Sky, Five Night At Freddie's, and Marvel's Iron Man universes.

Sony will still allow retailers to sell PSN credit gift cards, as well as DLC, add-ons, virtual currency, and season passes, but full digital games will have to be purchased through the PlayStation Store.

You can check out the reveal trailer below. It's due out later this year.

PlayStation is moving to be a lot more like Nintendo and Xbox as they offer direct broadcasts announcing new games, content, and release dates. "In Marvel's Iron Man VR the player, who plays as the genius inventor Tony Stark, confronts ghosts from his past-powerful forces who seek to ruin him and everything he stands for".

Iron Man VR is expected to release in 2019. That makes it hard to discern what the game will look like and how it feels when it comes closer to release date. We'll bring you additional information as it releases regarding this manner. Sony announced a few days ago that it would have its first of several streams on Monday and went right into Iron Man VR without delay. The game is coming to PC and PS4 on May 21, and you can pre-order now.

We got a new trailer for Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled, in which we learned that the game will feature retro style polygonal character models for some of the playable characters.

Update: Just a reminder that the show kicks off at 8.00 am AEDT today.

Lastly, we closed out the presentation with a trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, where characters fight past versions of themselves, and the news that Jax, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao will be part of the roster at launch.
