Kevin Durant’s ‘adopted brother’ killed in Atlanta

Kevin Durant's 'Adopted Brother' Clifford Dixon Fatally Shot Outside Atlanta Bar

He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police believe there was a single gunman who took off on foot before authorities arrived. There was no indication on how many times Dixon was hit in the incident.

Rapper Dave East penned a tribute on Instagram to his slain friend. It would seem that nothing seem too suspect at the time.

Dixon dated Mena, who's appeared on Love & Hip Hop's flagship show and Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta for about 10 months ending late past year, according to TMZ.

"Rest in heavenly peace bro u ain't deserve whatever happen to u".

On Thursday afternoon, Durant's mother, Wanda Durant, posted about the loss of Dixon on Twitter.

Dixon and Mena dated for ten months back in 2018, with plenty of ups and downs along the way. Before college, Dixon played high school ball at Suitland High School in Maryland.

The NBA is a brotherhood, and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade sent his prayers to Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant after the 2014 MVP lost his adopted brother in a tragedy on Thursday. The property belonged to Mena who admitted to possessing marijuana inside the home, leading to her arrest as well. The two were engaged at Christmas and have since married.
