Fortnite has not really confirmed if the option will be coming this season but the battle royale game is used to surprising players, so it probably won't be long before there is more information on it. The source claims it will be a static item in the game's shop, unable to be purchased with coins. With the studio already revealing that they have plans for the game to continue for another decade, it's clear that a ton of additional content is headed our way and earlier this week, the first new character leaked onto the web.
The rediscovery of the leak, as it was logical to expect, has thus triggered the reaction of the public Reddit, and subsequently of the other forums and social groups linked to Apex Legends, especially with fan messages that underline the role of moderator of the subreddit of Titanfall covered by Hiticonic.
Any game developed by the folks at Respawn would be worthy of attention (if you haven't checked out Titanfall 2's astonishing single-player campaign, you're missing out). This is, of course similar to the ability to pick up dead teammates banners from their Death Boxes in Apex Legends and take them to scattered Respawn Beacons on the map to bring them back into the game.
Apex Legends is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One for free. But unbeknownst to most, Respawn's hit battle royale map was leaked previous year and practically no one noticed. The idea of allowing players to rejoin also feels in line with one of Respawn's innovations in the battle royale genre.
In an AMA last week, devs at Epic Games said they were considering it, but that they needed to "give it the time it needs and fully understand its impact on the game as a whole" - which pretty much makes the feature inevitable.
Let's see what's waiting for us! And while the map was tweaked a little bit from the leaked version, it was still the map Respawn ended up using for "Apex Legends".
