7 burning questions we have after watching Netflix’s Fyre Festival documentary

The actual event compared to the promotion

But with little in the way of specifics being shared, things quickly got ugly from there.

Rolle immediately became the documentary's most memorable participant, her tear-filled recounting of the events surrounding the festival pulling at the heartstrings of viewers. At the time of the event in 2017, he apologized on Twitter but still asserted it was, "NOT MY FAULT.but I'm taking responsibility".

Have Seth Crossno and Mark Thompson been paid the US$5 million in damages they were awarded from suing Fyre Festival co-founder Billy McFarland? .

"I'm at the airport on Thursday morning (of the festival) when I got the call", Maryann recalled. "I too was hustled, scammed, bamboozled, hood winked, lead astray!".

Ja Rule, the co-founder of the infamous Fyre Festival, is speaking out after Netflix and Hulu's documentaries about the failed event debuted. We know she has done right. "We are 'Scam Fyre.' But that might not be the case after we fucking put our plan in play and start to spin it".

"They just wiped it out and never looked back".

Instead of gourmet food, an image showed one festival-goer had been presented with two unbuttered basic pieces of brown bread, two thin slices of cheese and a handful of salad.

Rolle had a staff of 10 working around the clock - all of whom had to be paid, even when the festival fell through leaving punters stranded. I am here as a Bahamian.

To his credit, this is somewhat correct.

The first tweet mentions F*ckJerry, which was one of the promoters of Fyre Festival and a creator of the Netflix documentary.

Ja did bring up that Hulu paid McFarland for an exclusive interview, while also highlighting that social media company Fuckjerry were paid by Netflix for their involvement, according to the New York Daily News. Once you do that you will see all of the wild components of the festival and then understand why Ja Rule has been catching hell on social media since Friday. McFarland dodges the question, saying he will not comment on their private conversations. (Ja Rule did not agree to be interview in either documentary.) Despite his protestations now, some insiders claim in the docs that Ja Rule was very aware of the problems with the festival-at one point in the Hulu doc FYRE FRAUD, McFarland was asked directly if Ja Rule was aware of the scam: "I was in charge of the festival and I made the decision to keep it going to...to...to..."

Now, her GoFundMe page has raised more than $160,000.

What the documentary doesn't mention is that Fyre Festival staff also stayed in the couple's five cottages.

"They really, really, really, really hurt me".
