Ant and Dec reunite for auditions for Britain's Got Talent

Holly stood in for Ant on last year's I'm A Celebrity

Fans were over the moon to see Ant reunited with Dec after he hosted last year's I'm a Celebrity.

Ant's longtime on-screen partner Declan Donelly hosted the live Britain's Got Talent shows solo past year and was joined by Holly Willoughby for the 2018 series of I'm A Celebrity.

While Ant will be returning to Britain's Got Talent, his ex-wife Lisa Armstrong has been axed from her makeup job on the show.

Anthony McPartlin and his Britain's Got Talent co-star Declan Donnelly were all smiles as they reunited for the show on Friday.

Introducing the first audition show on Friday, Donnelly told the audience: "We've got the judges back, the golden buzzer is back, and someone else is back".

"My co-host for this series, would you please welcome - Mr Ant McPartlin!".

McPartlin, 43, appeared on stage and said: "Hello everyone. Make sure you look out for each other - we've missed having you around Ant, and hope you're feeling better in yourself now".

Turning to Donnelly, he said: "As for you, I've missed you". Thank you very much, what a warm welcome.

Ant is back for Britain's Got Talent 2019 and so are judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden. We missed you; it wasn't the same. I mean, even though Dec was brilliant, it still wasn't the same.

This will be the first time they have been working together since Ant McPartlin was involved in a drink-driving crash and a decision was made for him to take a break.

Another post read: "Great to see you both back on the scene - together".

The TV star had previously entered rehab after struggling with a painkiller addiction that arose after a knee operation in 2015.

In March McPartlin was arrested for drink-driving after he crashed his Mini Cooper into two cars in Richmond, Southwest London.
