Don't want Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul around my family: Harbhajan Singh

Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya has quickly apologised for controversial comments made on a TV chat show

Following intense criticism, Pandya had issued an apology in social media although Rahul is yet to come up with his reaction.

The sixth season of Koffee With Karan, which is hosted by Karan Johar, saw Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya and batsman K L Rahul as guests. We have suspended our association with Hardik until we decide on further course of action, " told the company spokesperson to the newspaper. "Rest my case", and tagged Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, and BCCI in his second tweet. In 2015, actor Aamir Khan lost his endorsements after he made a comment on the growing intolerance in the country.

In the throwback video, Ranveer says that he used to watch Kareena Kapoor swimming in Otters Club and that is when he turned into a boy from a child.

Pandya has regretted his comments twice since the show went on air on Sunday - first on his official Twitter page and then in response to the BCCI show cause notice on Wednesday.

"The other day there was a party", Pandya said, "My parents are sitting there and (referring to the female guests) they're like, 'Which one is yours?' and I sat with them and said, 'This, this this, everyone's got something with me'".

On the show, the two players spoke about the women they had been with, with Pandya revealing details about how he picks up women at bars.

Earlier on Friday, Indian skipper Virat Kohli has distanced his team from the remark made by Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on the show.

"The two concerned players felt what has gone wrong and they have understood the magnitude".

Terming the BCCI's decision to take punitive measures against the two India cricketers, Harbhajan said, "The BCCI did the right thing, and this is also the way forward".

In one of the videos, Anushka Sharma appears to be taken aback by Ranveer Singh's comment and she also added: "You don't speak to me like that".

The series comes after India's historic Test series win Down Under - the country's first in 71 years.

"We must take a view by the time second ODI gets over as we can not afford to debilitate team strength due to delinquent behaviour on the part of some player", Mr. Rai had written.
