Inventor Engineers Brilliant Package That Hilariously Targets Thieves

Some Bloke Made A Glitter Fart Bomb To Get Revenge On Xmas Package Thieves

YouTuber and engineer Mark Rober got fed up with having his packages stolen so he built what might be the world's most sophisticated glitter bomb into a fake Apple HomePod box.

After six months of designing and testing, the team unveiled their glitter bomb trap.

"I challenge anyone who thinks packages don't get stolen to put a cellophane-wrapped HomePod box on their porch and leave it there day after day and see just how honest people are", Rober told The Post.

Rober, a self-described former NASA engineer, said the prank was a tribute to his "childhood hero", Kevin McCallister, the irrepressible young hero, played by actor Macaulay Culkin, in John Hughes' 1990 comedy that was filmed in Winnetka. See the awesome reactions of several thieves when they get blasted with fabulosity and FART SPRAY (above)! The device also takes cellphone video of the culprits, uploads the footage to the cloud and can be tracked by Global Positioning System. He also installed four smart phones that would track the package location and record the encounter.

The former worker at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has taken to YouTube to share footage captured by the phone cameras in the booby-trapped package, which was stolen and triggered several times. He says, "Ultimately, when they opened the package, I just wanted to celebrate their profession with a cloud of glitter, because, I mean, who doesn't love glitter?" Remember the great way he foiled the robberies of Harry and Marv?

He said he created the bomb to explode when thieves tried to take packages off his porch.

'Not only is it not cool, but on the plus side, you'll never find yourself in this situation'.
