Fortnite season 7 gets snowy, adds planes and a new creative mode

Fortnite Season 7 Arrives Today With New Locations, Items, Custom Minigames And More

It allows players to "design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways, and build your dream 'Fortnite,'" the studio said in a blog post. We definitely love where the game is today, but we'd be lying to ourselves if we said we don't miss the good ol' days of Seasons 1 and 2.

Season 7 sees a huge iceberg collide with the map and a wintery storm is coming in, too, setting the scene for a big in-game cold snap. But a drastic adjustment just unexpectedly impacted a popular area of the Fortnite map. You can travel both up and down Ziplines simply by jumping onto one and you'll start moving automatically.

New Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet and Expedition outposts will offer unique and interesting places to drop, as well as providing access to Stormwing planes, which extend combat to the skies.

Fortnite has never looked like this before.

Give your weapons and vehicles a new look with Wraps. You'll also be able to play user-made maps from other players. As most Fortnite players know, the more you play and complete weekly challenges, the more emotes, dance moves and cosmetic items you can get.

It's hard to say how all these new changes will affect the game and how players will take to the game-changing new ways to travel.

Fortnite Season 7 is upon us and the giant update patch has added a new snowy section of the map, along with new usable planes and weapon skins.
