Imran Khan bowled 'googly' and India sent 2 ministers: Pakistan minister

Pakistan and India begin construction of 'corridor of peace'

Mr. Palladino was responding to questions on the construction of the much-awaited corridor that will connect Darbar Sahib in Pakistan's Kartarpur - the final resting place of Sikh faith's founder Guru Nanak Dev - with Dera Baba Nanak shrine in Gurdaspur district and facilitate visa-free movement of pilgrims.

News Nation brings to you an exclusive footage from Pakistan's Kartarpur corridor. "If India takes one step forward, Pakistan will take two", he has been quoted as saying.

"We are willing to wait for (general) elections to get over in India for a gesture from New Delhi", Khan said, referring to the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for next year.

Khan assured Sikh visitors from India that they will find their worship place and surrounding complex a completely developed structure equipped with all facilities and comforts when they visit Pakistan for the 550th birthday celebration of the Sikh guru.

Seventy-five-year-old Gurcharan Singh was just a child during Partition in 1947, when his family left their home in the city of Sialkot, in modern day Pakistan, to head to India.

Imran Khan said that instead of seeking loan, we demanded technology from the Chinese government, adding that the country progress when technologyis transferred.

The Congress leader had grabbed headlines when he extended a hug to the Pakistani Army Chief at Imran Khan's oath-taking ceremony as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, in August this year. "It would be foolish to think one could win a nuclear war".

Pakistan's decision to agree to a Kartarpur corridor was likely driven by a desire to emerge from its current state of isolation as well as a calculation that the initiative could provide an opportunity to radicalise or indoctrinate Indian pilgrims who visit the shrine.

The Indian external affairs minister had also been invited to attend the ceremony by her Pakistani counterpart, but she expressed her inability to undertake the visit due to prior commitments. "We will resolve issues of investors", he added.

Because there were so many U-Turns throughout these 100 days, be it about Atif Mian's appointment to the Economic Council or in the aftermath of Aasia Bibi's case, PTI chose to post an advertisement in today's newspaper that says 'Hum Masroof Thay', or "We've been busy" for the English language papers.

Many in India construed this statement as Pakistan's desire for a change in Indian leadership. "There's no enmity between the people of the two countries; people to people relations could be improved".

Indian External Affairs Ministers Sushma Swaraj and her Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi were set to meet on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in NY, that could have marked the first thaw in bilateral ties that have steadily deteriorated.

The chief minister of Indian Punjab, Amarinder Singh, while welcoming the Kartarpur corridor opening, refused an invitation to attend the ground-breaking ceremony citing Pakistan's support for terrorism in Indian Punjab.
