Newly launched iPad Pro can seemingly bend and break very easily

The case is magnetized so the Air Pods can't just slip out

A new video from JerryRigEverything (embedded below) puts the new iPad Pro to the ultimate abuse test.

That's because the latest Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar has just got its price absolutely slashed by Laptops Direct, who is now offering the system with a simply ginormous £590 knocked off the price for Black Friday. Essentially the sapphire glass lens cover is no better than covering the lens with the glass used on the front of the iPad. Most consumers won't be trying to bend their tablets, and it goes without saying that you should protect it at all costs if you spend the money to add a new iPad Pro to your collection.

The most interesting, and hurtful, part though is the actual bend test. YouTuber 'JerryRigEverything' also managed to bend the new iPad Pro with a limited amount of force, though given that his YouTube channel literally exists to break tech products in different, I always approach his tests with a skeptical eye.

Apple's new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro are prone to bending, according to various reports. The lesson is to take good care of your new iPad Pro, something we hope you were doing anyway.

As The Verge rightly points out, other iPad models can also bend a lot easier than iPhones, so it's not like this is a major discovery. Beware placing the Apple Pencil in a pocket as it might not survive. Of course, all tablets can be bent to a certain degree but the ease with which Zack could bend the iPad Pro's body should raise genuine concerns about Apple sacrificing build quality to shave off a few millimeters.
