Two Workers Are Dead After Partial Building Collapse At Amazon's Baltimore Warehouse

They found that a 50-by-50-foot wall had collapsed at the warehouse, according to Clark.

Fire department chief Roman Clark told the Baltimore Sun that a 15-metre wall collapsed as a storm hit the area. That person was taken to a hospital and declared dead, per CBS Baltimore; a second body was found early Saturday, officials say.

Another person is unaccounted for.

Officials said there weren't any other reports of people missing.

Amazon released a statement on Saturday and said that the building would remain closed until further notice. We are working with emergency responders to assess the damage and we are thankful for their quick response this evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families impacted by last night's tragic event, ' the spokesperson added.

Images taken from outside the facility showed a badly damaged truck and a knocked over light pole, the Sun reports.

The National Weather Service is surveying the area to determine whether a tornado touched down.

Roofs were reported to have been blown off apartment buildings in Dundalk, Maryland, while sections of ceilings were said to have fallen in at the Twin Arch Shopping Center's TJ Maxx and HomeGoods store.
