Meghan Markle's Old Instagram Pal Adorably Surprises Her In New Zealand

Meghan Markle's choice of clothes can make a brand

For their final stop, the royal couple visited Rotorua's Te Papaiouru marae - a sacred meeting house in Polynesian societies - where they participated in a traditional Māori welcoming ceremony called a pōwhiri.

When the Duchess was given a toy kangaroo in Australia, she said "Our first baby gift!"

Inside, Harry was presented with an axe carved by a local Maori artist and Meghan was given a floral bouquet.

When she married into Britain's Royal Family in London five months ago, it's doubtful Meghan envisaged her duties would include standing in a rain-soaked paddock half a world away, hurling a wellington boot into the distance.

The duke said: "One of the joys of our visit to New Zealand has been the opportunity to meet so many young New Zealanders who are devoting their talents and energy to making a difference".

They were "absolutely buzzing" afterwards and said the Duke and Duchess were "very nice".

The American-born former actress and her husband attended 76 engagements over 16 days in the former British colonies, with Meghan sometimes changing designer outfits four times in a single day.

A toddler broke through the barricades and made a beeline for Prince Harry.

The day before, Prince Harry drew cheers from Aukland's Pasifika community as he greeted them in six Pacific languages. Find out how the New Zealand Prime Minister got involved in the brief but heartwarming exchange.
