Harry and Meghan rub noses in New Zealand

Royals Harry and Meghan dedicate forest reserves in Tonga

"The basic and fundamental human right of being able to participate in the choices for your future, and for your community".

Britain's Prince Harry and wife Meghan were treated to a ceremonial welcome in New Zealand on Sunday where they arrived for the final leg of their Pacific tour, their first worldwide royal tour since marrying in May.

The royal couple arrived at Sydney Airport to start the last leg of their ongoing tour.

Earlier, the couple was greeted with an indigenous Maori welcome.

Members of the New Zealand Defence Force performed a haka, a traditional dance, and a 21-gun salute rang out to mark the occasion.

The brooch designer, 10-year-old Alexandra MacKay from Wellington, said she was in shock after meeting the Duchess and having her accept the red rose brooch she made this morning with her friend Rebecca Sainsbury, 10.

He said Harry had no idea, and clearly didn't know much about basketball.

She said Harry responded: "What, waiting around at Government House in the cold?" and the couple both laughed.

"I love her dress and she was really pretty", Newman said.

Harry and Meghan will visit a newly unveiled UK War Memorial in Wellington and later Sunday attend a 125th anniversary celebration of women's suffrage in New Zealand.

Greta Crowe, 11, said she told the couple that the best part of being a girl guide was getting to meet them.

They later met the crowds during a walkabout at the National War Memorial.

Tomorrow, Prince Harry and Meghan will visit a Wellington café where they will meet young people from a number of mental health projects operating in New Zealand offering support to other young people through helplines, social media, websites and school-based programmes. The games give sick and injured military personnel and veterans the opportunity to compete in sports such as wheelchair basketball.

The tour of Commonwealth countries has seen the royal couple meet drought-stricken Australian farmers, visit the world-famous Bondi Beach and spend time in the Pacific nations of Fiji and Tonga.
