CNN’s Don Lemon blasts Megyn Kelly, but she’s not the only one

Megyn Kelly and Gayle King

Fans are asking former NBC Today Show co-host Tamron Hall to return to her position at the popular morning show after Megyn Kelly's recent controversial comments regarding blackface.

Then came this week's controversy about her offensive comments regarding blackface Halloween costumes. This was all before Kelly said on Tuesday that dressing in black face was "ok" when she was a kid.

Kelly did not host "Megyn Kelly Today" as scheduled on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Kelly's attorney, Bryan Freedman, said that Kelly "remains an employee of NBC News" and that "discussions about next steps are continuing". "I thought Andy Lack, who runs NBC, summed it up very nicely when he said it was a very unfortunate thing", she said. When Hall learned she was being ousted in 2017 by Kelly, she exited her 9 a.m. slot without a formal farewell.

Kelly has had no comment since Wednesday, when she appeared live on her show and apologized for the remarks.

The show aired repeats on Thursday and Friday. "I'm Megyn Kelly and I want to begin with two words - I'm sorry".

And though an official announcement from NBC has yet to be released regarding the show's future, it'd seem that Megyn Kelly Today has been canceled. Other sources told us Kelly isn't looking to get paid to not work.

Kelly, who is reportedly in talks with NBC about leaving the network, was seemingly out of place in the much friendlier morning environment.

She largely floundered with that soft-news focus, and a pair of awkward and hostile interviews with Hollywood figures Jane Fonda and Debra Messing backfired. "For me, as a lawyer, it's always better if you just send it outside". "There's the question of the faith and confidence of the public in the reporting of NBC on matters involving itself", she stated at the time.

And her ratings have been consistently down from what Today garnered in the 9am hour before Ms Kelly came on board.
