Suspicious package found near offices of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz

Dem Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz FL Office Evacuated Over Suspicious Package

The Secret Service intercepted a bomb addressed to Hillary Clinton at the Chappaqua, New York, home she shares with former President Bill Clinton, and another that was sent to former President Obama at his home with Michelle Obama in Washington.

Robert De Niro: Shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a suspicious package received at a nonresidential building in New York City's Tribeca neighborhood, NYPD Lt. Thomas Antonetti said.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Law enforcement officials are trying to track down another suspicious package sent to former Vice President Joe Biden, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation says it's possible additional packages were mailed to other locations. Speaking in Florida on Wednesday, Clinton said her family was "fine, thanks to the men and women of the Secret Service who intercepted the package addressed to us long before it made its way to our home".

George Soros: A suspicious package found Monday appeared to be an explosive device targeting the billionaire investor, philanthropist and Democratic donor.

An initial examination shows they are are rudimentary but functional, and have similar construction.

None of the bombs detonated and no one was injured. The devices are rudimentary but functional.

The envelopes had identical return addresses for Florida Democratic Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman. Debbie Wasserman Schultz as the return address.

The bomb squad was investigating the package discovered at Wasserman Schultz's office, a local police spokesman said.

"These devices were either made and sent by a right-wing guy who doesn't like the Dems - and we can't rule out worldwide aspects to this, Russians messed with our 2016 elections just using Facebook, could they have done this? - but of course the other one is that false flag", Fitzgerald told host Martha MacCallum. The Secret Service found that package Tuesday night. The Soros package was believed to have been placed in a mailbox rather than mailed, a separate law enforcement source said.

The FBI said late on Wednesday it had confirmed that two additional packages, similar in appearance to the others, were addressed to Waters. They were discovered during "routine mail screening procedures as potential explosive devices and were appropriately handled as such", the agency said in a statement.

Hillary Clinton was attending campaign events for Democrats in Florida on Tuesday and Wednesday and was not at the family's NY residence at the time.

"It is a troubling time, isn't it?" It's a time of deep divisions and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together. Authorities also searched a building in San Diego that houses a newspaper before concluding there was nothing risky there.

At least seven suspicious packages were sent in New York, Washington and Florida, including to prominent African American Democrats, Obama's attorney general Eric Holder and Maxine Waters, a California lawmaker.

Obama preceded him in the White House and Clinton was his 2016 election rival.

The White House said it condemned the "attempted violent attacks".

President Donald Trump has been briefed on the situation and is receiving "constant updates", Sanders said.

The targeted Democrats are among the most high-profile political figures in the United States, which goes to the polls on November 6 in elections seen as a referendum on Trump.

There have been times, such as with the recent spate of bombings in Austin, Texas, as well as with the notorious Unabomber, when each device had a different "signature" in an attempt to throw off authorities or as the person making the devices tested and finessed their technique.

Packages containing "pipe-bomb like" devices were intercepted before reaching either president by mail.

The building, which is located in the Miami metropolitan area, was evacuated.

The package contained an envelope of white powder that experts were analysing, Police Commissioner James O'Neill said.
