What Bill Belichick told Patriots in locker room after win over Bears

So that leaves one running back that started the season with the Patriots, James White.

Head coach Matt Nagy didn't have a great view of the final play and didn't offer much on White's immediate future, but it would be a surprise if there wasn't some opportunity for him to earn some more snaps even if it's only as the Bears' fourth wideout. Trubisky just didn't throw the ball well enough to make the issues more costly.

"For a split second I [thought it was a score] until I felt a bunch of guys", White said after the game.

"Making sure that I didn't jump, because you always want to jump and try to get a shot at the ball". "I didn't have the angle on the goal line". We examine each of them below. It was probably a half yard or a yard, pretty close. "We talked about how many tackles we missed and some of that could have really changed the momentum of the game if we would have made some of those tackles".

"They say it's a game of inches", Patriots running back James White said.

As a Chicago Bears fan, I watched Mitch Trubisky launch a last-second prayer toward the end zone, I had no delusions that it would result in a touchdown.

White caught Trubisky's heave at the New England 2-yard line, turned and moved toward the goal line, but he was stopped by a Patriots mob. But he had two interceptions, should have had at least two more and finished 26 for 50 for 333 yards with two touchdowns. Brady had Gordon isolated against Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller on the perimeter, and he took his chances with the matchup.

White hasn't eclipsed 171 rushing yards in a single season. And let's not forget Julian Edelman muffing a punt right off his facemask, which could go relatively unnoticed since he recovered his own fumble.

The team is listing it as a left knee injury and stated he is questionable to return. With all of that, they fell literally one yard short of tying the game.

One could point out that Bears wide receiver Josh Bellamy could have knocked the ball away from cornerback J.C. Jackson when both went flying to the ground, and that would have prevented Trubisky's first interception in the third quarter.

They'll need to do it without Rob Gronkowski, who was officially ruled out this morning with ankle and back injuries. On defense, the unit struggled to contain Mitchell Trubisky, the Bears athletic quarterback.

"A lot of people were out of rhythm", he said. Van Noy then scooped it up and ran 29 yards for the score.
