'It's what media speculate, and its gossip.

Mrs Trump paused to think when asked whether the claims had hurt her personally - then offered a vague answer that appeared to blame journalists for spreading the stories.

The first lady, who has mostly been reserved during her time in the White House, revealed in the interview series that she doesn't hesitate to offer her husband advice and opinions on political matters. "But I know what is right, and what is wrong, and what is true and not true", she responded, winning that round too.

She played down a suggestion the repeated rumors of his philandering had put a strain on their marriage.

Asked if she loves her husband, she says, "Yes, we are fine. You need to ask him".

"Yeah, it's not always pleasant, of course", admits the 48-year-old.

She sat down with ABC News Chief National Affairs Correspondent Tom Llamas during her solo trip to Africa - who asked about Trump's alleged or rumored extramarital affairs.

"Media likes to speculate about our marriage", she added, like she meant it to sting. "It's not always correct stuff", she said.

Though the clip doesn't include questions about her own husband's image as a bully, the first lady has faced ridicule.

Giuliani had said in June that Melania Trump believes her husband's denials about an affair a decade ago with stripper and porn movie star Stormy Daniels.

Melania wore then jacket, emblazoned with the words "I really don't care", while en-route to visit child migrants held at a U.S. detention centre, sparking controversy.

His marriage to Ivana Trump fell apart after he began an affair with model Marla Maples in the early 1990s, according to Business Insider.

Melania's not paying the talk about her marriage any mind, the insider said, because she's "secure in herself, and in her marriage".

This also makes her the only First Lady whose first language is not English. Trust me though; Melania is the furthest thing from a victim that you could get. "Don't confuse that with weakness for one minute".

In the first part of the interview released on Thursday, Mrs Trump said women who alleged sexual abuse must produce "really hard evidence".
