Unai Emery reacts on Aaron Ramsey's angry reaction against Watford

Ramsey poised to leave Arsenal after club withdraw contract offer

Unai Emery's shock decision to halt contract talks with Ramsey means the Welshman is likely to move onto a new club in January or next summer.

Liverpool are reportedly looking to sign Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey at the end of the season, and it's claimed that the Reds had a bid turned down in the summer. "I am sure the best for us and the best for him is to take this opportunity to do the best performance each match, to show every supporter his best quality".

"I don't think so", Emery said ahead of Saturday's home game against Watford.

But, after grabbing his hamstring following a goal-kick, Arsenal captain Cech was forced to limp off in first half stoppage-time.

"Tomorrow I want, and we want, his best performance".

Leno is next set to play in Arsenal's Europa League tie away to Qarabag on Thursday, although Emery may be tempted to save him for the game at Fulham on Sunday and select Emiliano Martinez in Azerbaijan instead. They were more than we wanted but we did well in the first half.

"Three weeks ago he was out of the team for two weeks with an injury. But this passage was necessary today and I think our players on the pitch in the first half were a little nervous and we need to continue being calm". We will look at Petr Cech's injury.

Speaking on Leno after yesterday's win over Watford, Emery said: "He is working very well with the goalkeeping coaches". "We had a very good performance with more shots, more shots on target, a lot of clear chances to score".

Emery lavished praise on Watford and admits that their position in the league table is not a coincidence as they are one of the most organised sides in the league.

"He doesn't hide. He's somebody that if they can get it going, I'm desperate for him to stay but I do understand that Arsenal cannot continue to let players dictate like they are now".
