Legend, Webber and Rice won their Emmy for producing Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which was awarded the best variety special victor at Sunday night's Creative Arts Emmy Awards.

Whoopi Goldberg was the first black woman to achieve EGOT status in 2002, after she won a Daytime Emmy (hey, it counts!) for outstanding class special for "Beyond Tara: The Extraordinary Life of Hattie McDaniel", according to Billboard. The singer already had 10 Grammys, an Oscar for his original song from 2014's "Selma" and a Tony for producing the 2017 revival of the play "Jitney".

With that win, Legend joins the elite company of 15 performers including collaborators Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, who also entered the prestigious EGOT club along with him for the same production.

On Sunday, John managed to scoop the final piece in the puzzle, picking up an Emmy for his work as a producer on the musical special "Jesus Christ Superstar Live In Concert".

"Before tonight, only 12 people had won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony in competitive categories", Legend captioned an Instagram photo with Webber and Rice.

He added: "I'm happy I was part of such a great show". With the just passed award ceremony, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice - who also worked on Jesus Christ Superstar as composer and lyricist - also achieved their EGOT. He's also the first African-American man to win all four awards. So amazed to be in such rarefied air.

Obviously Teigen posted loving comments towards her husband for his win, but none are quite as good as the subtle but hilarious comment on the post. And as of Sunday night, he's now an EGOT victor. The remainder of the 70th Annual Emmy Awards winners will be announced on Monday, September 17 on NBC.
