Steelers not planning to blink in Bell holdout

Steelers set to begin Wednesday meetings minus Le'Veon Bell

Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert isn't interested in getting in a battle over Le'Veon Bell and doesn't want to let it drag out through the media.

Le'Veon Bell seemed somewhat surprised when he saw the scathing comments from his teammates.

After Bell was a no-show at practice on Wednesday, his second missed practice of the week, several Steelers offensive linemen apparently decided that enough was enough.

He was born in Reynoldsburg, Ohio on February 18, 1992. In the preseason, Conner produced 100 rushing yards on 19 carries along with 64 receiving yards.

Added veteran center Maurkice Pouncey: "Conner's ready".

How old is Le'Veon Bell?

Pouncey had originally told reporters that he expected the 26-year old running back to reunite with his teammates on Wednesday.

He was born on February 18, 1992. In a series of tweets, the former National Football League linebacker addressed the matter, chiding the negative comments made by Bell's teammates.

Bell's wealth is the result of a combination of professional football contracts, endorsements and private investments.

While rumors circulated a trade could be the only solution in Bell's holdout, NFL Network reported Thursday the Steelers will not rescind the franchise tag or trade Bell.

Bell has also reportedly earned money through private investments and roughly $200,000 (£154,503) in annual brand endorsement fees.

Bell has remained quiet about when he plans to return to the team, but he has certainly noticed the comments coming from the Steelers locker room.

At some point Wednesday evening, Bell saw the Instagram post from Bleacher Report and he ended up reacting with one word, "Whoa".

Since then, Bell has continued to hold out from joining any team training camp sessions or preseason games. He has yet to report to the team, hoping that he can force their hand. Pittsburgh placed the franchise tag on Bell each time. His average of 128.9 total yards per game is the highest clip for a player's first five seasons since the NFL-AFL merger in 1970.

Bell's agent, Adisa Bakari, suggested that a one-year deal with Pittsburgh will only result in him being worn down more quickly and that the running back is aiming to protect his long-term value. "This offense is more than one guy".
