Four more members of a youth soccer team trapped in a Thailand cave complex have been rescued, leaving just four more boys and their coach left underground waiting to be saved, authorities said.

He told reporters the four rescued boys were taken to the hospital in the town of Chiang Rai, the provincial capital, for evaluation, and the next phase of the operation would resume after about 10-20 hours.

A relative of one member of the soccer team said that the boys' families had agreed to remain at the cave until all of the boys and the coach are brought out.

Meanwhile, anxious parents waiting at the entrance - many of whom have been holding 24-hour vigils despite the overnight rains - say they are still not being told "anything" about which boys are about to emerge from the cave, and can do nothing but wait.

"If Phra Pirun helps us, we might be able to do it very quickly", Narongsak said, again invoking the god of rain, who is widely revered in Thailand.

Who are the boys and their coach?

Even if Musk's mini-sub is never used in the Thai rescue, the entrepreneur suggested its development has not been in vain.

It was originally reported that the strongest would be extracted first.

Police and military personnel use umbrellas to cover a stretcher as it is carried to a helicopter from an ambulance at a military airport in Chiang Rai, Thailand, on Monday, as rescue operations continue for those still trapped inside the cave in Khun Nam Nang Non Forest Park in the Mae Sai district.

There's been another pause here overnight.

He did not say how many boys the team hoped to bring out on Monday.

Hundreds of spectators and journalists have gathered in the area around the cave, hoping for news that the boys and their coach would emerge safely. Eight boys have been rescued so far. "But there are caves where. explorers could go in and be trapped by rising water during like a heavy rain and trapped in an air pocket", Brick said.

"Everything is all good - weather, water and the boys' conditions", he said, adding, "We will speed up [the operation]".

British divers Richard Stanton and John Volanthen discovered the boys on Monday.

Musk posted several videos to his Twitter account that show the submarine being tested in a swimming pool.

Musk said it would take 17 hours to deliver the mini-submarine.

Four of the boys were rescued on Sunday, and authorities are now working to replenish air tanks along the cave's treacherous exit route. The boys brought out of the cave Sunday and Monday are being treated in a hospital in Chiang Rai, but are being kept in quarantine for now by doctors concerned that they could contract or spread infection.

Authorities have said the mission could take three or four days to complete.

Authorities on Monday confirmed that water inflows into the cave remained at controllable levels while drainage efforts continued.

Their experience is expected to lead to nightmares, sleep problems, stomach and headaches and clinginess with parents, as well as getting angry and upset more easily.

12 young children and their football coach have been stuck in a partially flooded cave in Thailand's Chiang Rai province since June 23rd, and they're beginning to run out of oxygen. The rescued boys are in quarantine, BBC News reports.
