Sony accidentally uploads entire movie - instead of trailer

Sony Uploads Entire Khali the Killer Movie Instead of the Trailer

Thousands of people watched a film posted in its entirety to YouTube by its USA distributor before the apparent mistake was tackled.

Sony accidentally uploaded an entire film to its Sony Pictures YouTube channel this week instead of its trailer, CBR reported. Well, Sony really topped that and left nothing to the imagination when they published the entire 89-minute movie.

YouTube is the main destination for promoting movie trailers as people flock to the video sharing website to find out more information about new and upcoming films. Khali the Killer was live for around eight hours before being removed from YouTube. Khali the Killer was released for sale on DVD this past November, so it was not like movie leaked online before hitting theaters. It was labelled as "KHALI THE KILLER: OFFICIAL RED BAND TRAILER Now on DVD & Digital".

However, the video uploaded was actually the full-length 90-minute movie. Interestingly, it is available on a rental basis on YouTube too. It's worth pointing out that Khali the Killer was released on Blu-ray in Germany back in November 2017, and the film is now available to rent on VOD, so it's not like the film wasn't already out there. The film was released in Germany on DVD and Blu-ray last November, but IMDb states the film will be released in the USA this August.

The 2017 film by American director Jon Matthews is about an East Los Angeles hit man who decides to take one last job to support his ailing grandmother's end of life care.
