Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Blackout Battle Royale Mode Announced

'COD: Black Ops 4' Battle Royale Confirmed, PUBG Says, 'Welcome To The Club'

Operator mods help guns go beyond core functionality, and the true predictive recoil system gives each weapon a different feel. Today we are going to cover everything there is to know about the new game and what type of cool and innovative features fans should get ready for. Unfortunately, we have to wait until E3 to see Blackout in action properly.

"We're bringing to bear 10 years worth of Black Ops features". These new adventures will feature a brand new cast of characters and an evil new enemy.

The first map takes the new team to ancient Rome where they battle against a cult, trying to turn slaves into zombies.

In a new mode that comes with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 titled Blackout, a large group of players (speculated to be between 100 - 140 based on hints in the trailer) will drop into one large map that is a culmination of the entire Black Ops franchise. Enter the announcement of Blackout, the game's new battle royale, last-man-standing mode.

Black Ops IIII Zombies will include Custom Games and new Game Modes, which will deliver a more personalized Zombies experience - allowing players to tailor the challenge and difficulty to their play style, and experience the game in a new way.

Taking us from realism to surrealism in Black Ops 4 will be seemingly more robust Zombies content. Treyarch is promising a troika of zombie maps ready to roll once the game drops on October 12, and this appears to be the portal to the game's whimsical, goofball side. This is huge for PC gamers and something a lot of fans have wanted, for years. The four playable characters are Scarlet, Diego, Shaw and Bruno who travel through time, locked in a race with the bad guys to secure an artifact that will put the zombies down for good.

There will be no thrust jumping or wall running, a major shift from other recent futuristic Call of Dutys like Black Ops III and Advanced Warfare, which were disliked among some fans.

While Treyarch's interest in battle royale has been around for awhile, Bunting's interest didn't stem from playing the genre.

We've recapped the game's big overnight reveal below. Hideously outdated visuals, copy and paste gameplay, and of course, no campaign.

Though the game doesn't have a traditional campaign, story elements are woven into each of the multiplayer modes. Zero interest in Online only experiences.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is going to launch on October 12 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

The latest instalment of the popular game mode will see some pretty unfamiliar locations.

I'm not quite sure what to make of all of this.

One thing that has struck me about the evolution of Call of Duty's Black Ops division has been how much "game" Treyarch stuffs into each title.
