Alia Bhatt-starrer Raazi witnesses 50 per cent jump at Box Office

Surpassing all expectations, the film collected Rs 7.53 on its opening day and even experienced a growth of more than 50 percent on its second day with a collection of Rs 11.30 crore.

Alia Bhatt-starrer Raazi has kicked off its first week on the box office on a strong note.

"Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh shard the film collection on Twitter and wrote, "#Raazi continues its SPLENDID RUN. Witnesses 50.07% growth on Saturday.

Now, with Raazi as well, where she plays a simple Indian girl from Kashmir, who is trained to become a spy and married off to a Pakistani Army man, Alia has left everyone awed with her performance. The SUPER-STRONG word of mouth is translating into SUPER-SOLID biz.

If the film continues its success streak of Sunday as well, it might earn around Rs 30 crore on its opening weekend itself. Friday 7.53 cr, Sat 11.30 cr.

Based on Harinder Sikka's book Calling Sehmat, Raazi traces the life of a woman who went undercover during the 1970 Indo-Pak war. "But there were layers that I saw, and that he saw later when he read the screenplay".

Apart from Alia Bhatt, the film has her mother Soni Razdan, Vicky Kaushal, Rajit Kapur and Jaideep Ahlawat in other significant roles.
