French Media Reports Liverpool Move Towards Big Money Summer Signing

Nabil Fekir

Reported Liverpool target Nabil Fekir spoke to reporters about his future, and responded when asked whether a move from Lyon to Anfield is on the cards this summer, as quoted by the Mirror.

A graduate of Lyon's esteemed academy, the hometown boy is enjoying his most prolific season to date, having registered 17 goals across 28 Ligue 1 matches.

RMC report that it has been confirmed by them and Canal Sport that Liverpool a fee in the region of 70 million euros to sign Fekir. The former Reds' boss was in England to finalize the deal for his former club.

The Frenchman is set to be joined at Liverpool by his brother Yassin who has been included as part of the deal.

Liverpool though, have not planned on stopping there.

Both French news sources believe Ousmane Dembele is another Liverpool target and could well be attainable in the summer after enduring a hard first season at the Nou Camp, despite joining Barcelona for £135 million at the start of the season. "For now, I am in Lyon", he said.

But Liverpool chiefs are said to be asking for a fee in excess of £176m (€200m) which Los Blancos may find it hard to pay this summer. We still have two games left [this season]. If it is the case, we'll be really very happy to have him with us.

'We discussed some things after [CSKA] Moscow [knocked Lyon out of the Europa League in March] and managed to straighten things out, ' he said.

Either way, signing Fekir would see the Reds add more goals to their midfield, with the 24-year-old scoring 22 this season, assisting a further 7.

The France global is one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe and his stunning form in Ligue 1 this season has led to speculation surrounding his future.
